Birthdays and Family fun

Mommy has had a great birthday month and Marc, Jess, Morgie, Noni and Papa came for the weekend to celebrate mommy and Auntie Jessica's Birthdays.

Allergy Season

Allergies have started in Redding this week and we hope to get through it without any trips to the hospital like last year. We can see the oak trees in full bloom right now and its giving Andrew a hard time but he is tough. He gets a daily singular pill and then benadryl and eye drops if needed. The weather has been nice so its hard to stay in so we take lots of baths, keep the windows and doors closed and the air purifier going. Here is a picture of Andrew on a windy day after a few hours outside. poor baby.

Clever little boys

Clever clever little boys I have. Today I went in to take a shower and left you to play and watch Curious George. Half way through my 10 minute shower the dog started barking at the bedroom door. Normally this means that one of you is either yelling through the door at me or kicking the door which makes Siena concerned. Well today it was neither of these that I found when I opened the door.  

What I found was you both in front of my bedroom door with the key to unlock it. You boys had gone over the gate went in the garage got the step stool brought it back in the house over the gate so that you could reach the thermostat which held the key and as you put it in the door. I walked out.  I guess I will now either be taking a shower before you wake up or taking the key in with me when I take a shower.

Elmo

I'm not sure if I posted this and I cant find it so I wanted to make sure. You went to your first broadway show heehee if you can call it that. Grandma and Grandpa D took you to see Elmo and friends at the convention center. You had a great time and came back with a spinning Elmo light thing. You only stayed for half the show but that was longer than Andrew lasted when Grandma tried to take him to the movies.

Tongue

So Nathan and Andrew were horsing around in the room at Nana and Grandpa's when they should have been taking a nap.( hum what's new) Well somehow Nathan landed on a sharp edge of the bed with his tongue and gave himself a pierced tongue. All thats missing is the ring :) This is not a very good picture but it is the best I could do being as it totally grossed me out to look at it. no blood though. well at the time lots of blood but it stopped by the time I saw him. With his mouth closed it looked like a small slice on his tongue but when he put his tongue out it opened and was a gapping hole that only by a hair did not go all the way through. After it happened Nana consoled Nate and he fell asleep in her arms. I don't think Nana and Grandpa signed up for nurse when taking the boys off my hands for the day but they did a great job and made him feel all better. When he got home we gave him some Motrin and ice by the next morning it was only half as deep and by the end of the week it was healed. The tongue is pretty amazing.

Feelings

So the other day Nathan got mad at me for something and now I can't remember what, that is why I keep this blog. Anyway I did write down what he said to me because it made me laugh. He was mad and had been crying and he said to me "mommy, can I have some toilet paper to wipe my feelings" to cute he actually uses this all the time now guess he liked the reaction he got from me when he said it.

Palm Desert

Another great trip to Palm Desert with Grandma & Grandpa. We went swimming, to the park, flew kites, rode bikes, went to the Living Desert and of course our annual favorite the Discovery Museum.
