First hair cut by Mommy

So half this blog is written to you boys and half is written in third person. What can I say I'm not a writer.

Well it has been 90 degrees here for the past few days and it was time for a hair cut. Your last hair cuts were in Palm Desert at the beginning of March. Your hair grows fast and two haircuts cost $40 bucks last time so mommy decided to give it a try. I guess I can't say it was my first time last year in the summer I was going to give you guys a buzz cut and I got everything out sat you in a chair outside and you would have nothing to do with it. Plus I had your dad over my shoulder telling me how so I gave up and took you to someone else.

But it is a year later and you are better about getting your hair cut so why not. I decided to go with the longest clip I had which is a seven. You were both outside playing in the little pool so I figured if I bribed you I could cut your hair real quick. Andrew was more corropitive so I cut his hair first. I say I because this time I was cutting your hair when your daddy was at work :). I have to say it came out pretty good but you wouldn't let me trim around your ears so I left it at that. Nate sat down all excited and let me cut about two strips in the back and was done with it. The hair itched.

I was able to finish what I started today in the bath tub and even get around the ears(not to good a that part) all in all it is presentable and it saved me $40 bucks.

Easter in Jackson

We spent this Easter year with Noni, Papa, great Grandpa, Uncle Marc, Auntie Jessica and Morgan . We fished, Flew Kites, hunted eggs, ate to much and tortured frogs and Salamanders. Nathan caught Daddy and uncle Marc in the back yard hunting eggs we tried to distract him but there is no putting one past him. When daddy came in he came up to him and said "daddy is the easter bunny." We told him that the easter bunny came and left the baskets and the eggs inside and that daddy and uncle Marc helped the easter bunny with the outside eggs. Hum is he going to be the kid that ruins all the holidays for the rest the kids at school?

Patio Boating with the Heath Family

Today was the first of we hope many trips to Whiskytown Lake with Lisa, Mike & Jett on their new Patio Boat. By the time the kids napped and we got our act together we were on the water by four. Which was a perfect time the weather was beautiful no wind a little cool when driving fast but just a great Saturday evening. It is of course still to cold unless you are crazy to jump in the lake so we had a nice tour of the lake from our captain Mike and then stopped to have snacks, fish(not real fishing-no hooks) and feed the ducks in a cove.

Kickball

Today was our first official organized sporting event. Kickball! We had a blast. We signed up with the Beasley's and Jett but Jett's mommy didn't get him in on time and the class was full. But to our surprise there were a couple other people we knew. Alden Davis was their and Brent Weavers little girl, Nicholas Lockwood and of course lots of other new friends we got to meet. The boys had a great time and Coach Jennifer was great with the kids. They started with some warm-ups then practiced kicking the ball back and forth and finally the game. The parents stand on the bases while three kids play in field and the rest line up to kick the ball. Once the player kicks the ball one of the kids retrieves it and they both run to first base. No one gets out the kicker then continues to run the bases when a new kicker comes up. It was so cute to watch and it will interesting to see how they do now that they kinda understand hows its done. Andrew's attention span was not great while waiting his turn. he kept to himself but laid in the dirt and played. Nate lasted a little longer before he ended up on the ground in the dirt. After all four one hour sessions were over I would ay that Andrew enjoyed Kickball more than Nate. After we went to Round Table with the Beasley's and enjoyed some pizza.
